Our Story

When local Santa Fe husband-and-wife team Annette Colby and Ray Nowicki stepped into a forgotten orchard behind the adobe building that was to become Ahmyo River Gallery, they immediately knew that it would become a peaceful desert oasis that is now known as Ahmyo Wine Garden.

Today, you can stroll the enchanted pathways and feast your eyes on gorgeous flower beds with a lovely glass of wine in hand. Sit beneath the orchard trees while you enjoy a freshly prepared artisanal sandwich, or meet your friends at the divine Rock House for a delectable dessert or a lovely plate of shareables.

Come for the wine, and stay for the live music, peaceful fountains, shareable delights and desserts, and beautiful flower and sculpture gardens. Feel free to meander—with your wine if you would like—both the gardens and the gallery. Ahmyo River Gallery offers an exquisite collection of highly sought after treasures from top artists—including Annette herself— located in Santa Fe and around the world.

And if you are wondering about the word “Ahmyo” (pronounced ahh-me-o), it’s an invented word that invites each of us to take a slow breath and allow the flow of ease and grace into life. Annette and Ray hope that while you are visiting Ahmyo Wine Garden and Ahmyo River Gallery, you feel inspired and remember your own creative soul that exists within.
